NextEra Energy Partners to sell its natural gas assets, focus on renewable energy play

NextEra Energy Partners said it plans to focus entirely on renewable energy by selling its natural gas pipeline assets and pursuing a financial restructuring.
The company said it plans to eliminate a “significant amount” of near-term convertible equity portfolio financing obligations, reduce equity needs and simplify and recapitalize the business.
